TURATON TATTLER

January 2009

Happy New Year to everyone and let’s hope it’s a good one for us all.

The Christmas Season passed very quickly, with Turaton performing at Tatura, Mooroopna and Murchison carols. Thankyou to all those who were able to go along and sing for these communities.

We are now mid-way through January and our thoughts turn to the coming AGM and also to rehearsals for our May concert season.

May Concert - At The Movies

Maestro Geoff has been busily selecting the music and preparing the arrangements for ‘AT THE MOVIES’, which will be performed at various locations, commencing on the weekend after Mothers’ Day in May. The program will include songs from Saturday Night Fever, High School Musical, Titanic, Chariots of Fire and Mamma Mia, plus many more great numbers.

New people are always welcome, so if you know of anyone who might be interested to join Turaton – please bring them along.

A.G.M.

The A.G. M. will be held at The Shed, 252 Pyke Road, on Monday 2^nd Feb at 7.30pm. This should not take too long and we will have a cuppa and socialising after the meeting. Please bring a plate of supper.

Geoff will then outline the coming concert and start us on some music. Please bring along a black folder, as music will be distributed. A pencil and hi-lighter would also be handy.

Full practice will commence on Monday 9^th Feb., then ladies Wed. 11^th Feb – alternating Wednesdays with the men.
