It’s musical!

It’s hilarious!

It’s melodramatic!

What is?  Lucinda, a musical comedy melodrama.

Wow!  In the first week of performances, ‘Lucinda’ has received great feedback from audience members.  Cast members have honed their performances to create a highly entertaining production.  Congratulations to Andrew Morom and Joyce Baker-Dawber for their superb direction and dedication to the show.

Nagambie, as a first-time audience for Turaton, were so impressed they have already invited Turaton back next year.  The winners of our complimentary tickets were so rapt they are buying tickets to come again with friends.

The plot…Lucinda discovers on her 18th birthday that the couple she has called ‘Mother’ and ‘Father’ her whole life are in fact her foster parents.  A Lady grieves for the daughter she gave up 18 years ago – Could there be a connection?  There’s a young man in love and a blackmailing villain who plots to marry the same girl for her money.  The unfolding drama also includes a sudden death and a planned murder.

Jamie Mazzochi shows a softer side of herself, contrasting with the harder characters she has played in the past, such as Nancy in Oliver, Janis Joplin and Rizo in Grease.  Robertson has his role down Pat, Rod plays the villain in a Mauger way and Joe Maloney is full of baloney.  And that’s just for starters!  You should see the policemen!
